I.Cultivation Objectives

1.Objectives of Cultivation

Themajor of Logistics Management aims to cultivate applied logistics technologyand management talents who can adapt to the development needs of the modernlogistics industry in China. Graduates will be technically proficient,responsible, and internationalized, and will be able to work in various rolessuch as purchasing, transportation, warehousing, distribution, logisticsinformation processing, logistics project design and planning, and logisticsoperation in enterprises and logistics departments. The program is based on theprinciple of establishing morality and emphasizes the importance of ethicalconduct.

2.Objectives to be achieved by students five years after graduation

Studentsof this program will have the skills to become the technical or managerialbackbone of their logistics field in five years after graduation. They will beable to independently solve operational problems in logistics projects andpossess the ability to plan and design initial logistics projects. Thisspecialty’s cultivation objectives reflect students' comprehensive requirementsfor knowledge, ability, and overall quality. These objectives can be brokendown into five aspects:

(1)     Therequired skills include good humanities and social sciences literacy, socialresponsibility, legal awareness, and professional ethics.

(2)     Astrong command of natural science knowledge, such as mathematics and operationsresearch, as well as economics, trade, and management, is necessary.

(3)     Topossess strong organizational and managerial skills, effective languageexpression, independent work capabilities, interpersonal communication skills,and a team-oriented mindset. Additionally, having a global perspective and theability to communicate and collaborate in a cross-cultural context isessential.

(4)     Theindividual should have a strong inclination towards innovation and a lifelonglearning attitude. They should be proficient in utilizing modern informationtechnology to acquire relevant information, new technology, and knowledge, andconsistently enhance their abilities.

(5)     Tomaster the basic theories involved in logistics management systematically, onemust be familiar with the professional knowledge of procurement,transportation, warehousing, distribution, logistics information processing,logistics project design, planning, and operation. Additionally, one mustpossess the professional skills necessary to analyze, diagnose, and solvecomplex logistics technology and management problems in the field of logistics.

 

II. Academic Requirements for Program Completion

Graduation Requirements and Degree Conferral

Students of this major must complete the minimumcredits required by various courses according to the requirements of theguiding cultivation plan, and complete the corresponding extracurriculararrangements. Students can graduate only when they reach at least 153 credits;those who meet the requirements for the conferment of a bachelor's degree willbe awarded a bachelor's degree in management.

 

Program duration

Flexible academic period, generally 4 years, with aflexible range of no less than 3 years and no more than 6 years.

Programrequirements

The Bachelor of Logistics Managementrequires students to successfully complete 153 credits, which is comprised of:

  • At least 48.5     credits from public fundamental courses;

  • At least 10     credits from general education courses;

  • At least 21     credits from professional fundamental courses;

  • All credits (i.e.,     41 credits) from core courses;

  • At least 31.5     credits from professional practice.

ModuleA. International Logistics

ModuleA focuses on teaching the fundamentals of international freight forwarding,bonded logistics, and multimodal transportation. The course aims to developtechnical talents who are familiar with the business processes and operationalknowledge of international logistics. Students will gain the ability to conductinternational procurement, transportation, and distribution, as well as manageinternational logistics projects.

 

ModuleB. ChemicalLogistics

ModuleB focuses on the study of chemical fundamentals, chemical logistics service andoperation, chemical transportation management, dangerous goods logistics lawsand regulations. It aims to cultivate technical talents who are familiar withthe business process and operational knowledge of chemical logistics, possessthe business ability of dangerous goods transportation, warehousing anddistribution, and dangerous goods safety management, and are capable ofcarrying out the operation and management of chemical logistics projects.

 

ModuleC. Intelligent Logistics

ModuleC focuses on teaching Big Data and Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, andIntelligent Logistics System. The goal is to train technical professionals whoare familiar with the business processes and operational knowledge ofIntelligent Logistics. They should have the ability to operate IntelligentLogisticsequipment, design Intelligent Logistics programs, and manage IntelligentLogistics projects.
